Statue of Liberty
New York City · Memorial
A coast-to-coast collection with a stop in the Black Hills.
Each American landmark in this collection belongs to a distinct map anchor. The Statue of Liberty belongs with New York Harbor; the Lincoln Memorial with Washington, D.C. The statue’s raised torch and crown contrast with the memorial’s columned front. A correct country is a useful first step, but these two eastern landmarks still need separate city guesses.
On the Pacific side, the Golden Gate Bridge points to San Francisco and the Space Needle to Seattle. Look for the bridge’s suspended roadway and the tower’s broad observation top. Mount Rushmore adds an inland stop near Keystone, South Dakota, recognizable through four enormous faces carved into rock. Make an east, west and interior arrangement before trying to remember precise positions.

Keep New York and Washington on the Atlantic side, Seattle northwest of San Francisco on the Pacific side, and Mount Rushmore inland.
After a round, test the location before looking at the photo again. Recognizing the Statue of Liberty and locating New York are separate skills.
