El Castillo, Chichén Itzá
Yucatán · Ancient site
Different pyramids and two contrasting Mexico City silhouettes.
Mexico’s collection rewards comparison rather than one generic “pyramid” answer. El Castillo stands at Chichén Itzá in Yucatán; the Pyramid of the Magician belongs to Uxmal in the same broad region. Compare the outlines, stairways and buildings at the summit. The Pyramid of the Sun shifts the location to Teotihuacán, near Mexico City, far from those Yucatán sites.
Within Mexico City, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Monument to the Revolution give you another useful pair. Bellas Artes has a richly decorated building beneath a rounded roof; the revolution monument presents a much more open structure with large arches and a dome. Learning these five stops gives you three location groups to recall: Mexico City, nearby Teotihuacán and the Yucatán peninsula.

Do not place every Mexican pyramid in Yucatán. Locate Mexico City and Teotihuacán together, then find Chichén Itzá and Uxmal farther east.
Put the three pyramid photos side by side. Compare summit, corners and staircase before opening their individual profiles.
