Cookies & Local Storage

The site’s game uses local storage rather than its own tracking cookies. It saves your active game, first completed daily result, collection and practice statistics on your device so that you can return to them.

Storage used by the game

The key is landmarkguessr-v1. It contains game state and has no advertising identifier. It is not sent to a game backend. Storage remains until you clear it or your browser removes it.

Browser private mode or storage restrictions may prevent saving. In that case the game can continue in the open tab and displays a notice. Closing the tab may lose the current progress.

Third-party services

The contact processor, hosting security features and requested map tiles have their own policies. This release does not include advertising or analytics scripts. See the privacy notice for the services involved.

Clear your progress

Use the reset option in My collection or remove this site’s data through your browser settings. The reset affects only this browser and does not delete contact emails already sent.
